Register Now for the Urban League of Greater Hartford’s 3rd Annual MOVE! 5K

HARTFORD, CONN., June 25, 2024 – All abilities, ages and fitness levels are invited to the third annual MOVE! With the Urban League of Greater Hartford event on Saturday, July 13, 2024. The Hartford Marathon Foundation (HMF) and the Urban League of Greater Hartford are collaborating again with presenting sponsor Pratt & Whitney to host a 5K (3.1-mile) and a 1-mile race, free kids race, and a Movement Festival of fitness activities in historic Keney Park, near the park’s Woodland Street entrance, off of Greenfield Street in Hartford.

The family-friendly event celebrates the many ways members of the community are active while also showcasing the amenities of Keney Park, the “Jewel of the City” and one of the largest designed park landscapes in the U.S. The event kicks off at 9 a.m. with the 5K and a 1-mile race in which participants can run or walk. At 10:15 a.m. the free HMF FitKids fun run takes place, followed by the awards presentation, including the inaugural Exum Award in honor of former Pratt & Whitney executive and Urban League Board member, Earl ExumBetween 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., the public can enjoy a free Movement Festival with live entertainment, fresh produce distribution, food, health and fitness information, yoga and stretching demonstration, movement stations, arts & crafts, and community resources.

Entry Fees for Runs/Walk:

Adults: $25 for 5K and $20 for the 1-Mile – includes a tee shirt.

Ages 13 through 21: $15 for 5K and $10 for the 1-Mile – includes a tee shirt.

Ages 12 and under: Free for 1-Mile and HMF FitKids Fun Run – tee shirts are available for purchase.

Free Admission for all ages to the 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Movement Festival.
